Visit visa to Cairo

Am a Somali student who is doing my masters in china, I've submitted all the required documents to the respective embassy of Egypt in Beijing for visiting visa of one month to visit my relatives, I've been asked to wait for two months to get a reply, which haven't got any yet.. Is there any possible way to know my status? Thank you again
