About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Planning a trip around China, from Seoul

Would I need to get a Visa if I am traveling from Seoul-Bejing-Hong Kong-Shanghai-Seoul? These are the countries I'd like to visit (along with a day trip to Xian) and I am trying to see what would qualify under the free transit. Thank you

Hello there! Can you provide more detailed information about your trip?
If your transit time in Beijing and Shanghai is less than 72 hours and 144 hours respectively, you can enjoy the 72 hour free transit in Beijing and 144 hour free transit in Shanghai, but you can only travel around Beijing, or you are only allowed to travel around Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang. If you will go to Xian during your journey, I’m afraid you cannot enjoy the free transit and a transit G type or tourist L type will be required.
