It should be an extremely important invention. Before it was invented, people carved characters on bamboo or wooden slips for reading. It cost a lot of manpower and time. But since the paper was made, it was very convenient to deliver or carry books and letters. In some degree, it helped the spread of the knowledge and culture. More materials are kept for the exploration of later generations.
