I am doing an assessment and i was wondering could you explain various religous customs that effect women in anciant china???

Effect women?! I think you should study about Confucian and Taoism. Confulegalistic Hierarchical Ethical Order from confucius and Da De Jing from Laoxi should be important paper to your assessment.
