I have returned airport express journey left on the card . Can I top up with another 3 day deal or just with added value for the remainder of my holiday.

Don’t worry. If you reload the travel pass, your left airport express journey is still valid, and the three days consecutive ride is also valid. The fare is calculated in different system, so the reloading will not affect the original value in the pass.
