luggage check out procedure at kunming airport.

Question

My name J. Datta Gupta i will be arriving there from Kolkata (India) on China Eastern flight on 5th June 16 reaching at 5.45 a.m.local time.And my connecting flight to shanghai is same airlines China Eastern Flight at 8. a.m. local time. Pls confirm for taking the connecting flight to shanghai final destination, do i need to take out my luggage/luggage check out at KM airport and again do a fresh luggage check-in at the same airport. What is the procedure for that? Is 2 hours transit time sufficient for that?

Well, according to your situation, it's international to domestic transfer. The transfer procedures are the following:Inspection & Quarantine & Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection, Baggage Claim, Customs Inspection, Going through Transfer Formalities (Check-in Luggage), Security check, Waiting & Boarding.Thus you need to take out your luggage and recheck them. I'm afraid that 2 hours' stopover is tight. If possible, you are suggested to change the schedule of the next flight.
