About:Transfer in T3 of Beijing Capital Airport

Hi, I have a flight from the UK to Thailand with a long connection in Capital International Airport.

14 hours on the way out, 18 hours on the way back.
I understand that I do not need a visa just to connect in China, but will I be able to leave the airport during this time? If I would need a stamp, would this take a long time to get? Thanks

You can leave the airport after applying for a stay permit and having your passport stamped at the immigration desk. Generally speaking, it only take a couple of minutes. Don't worry.
