RE: Chinese Residents Overstay

I lived and worked in China for 8-years, March of this year my company didn't renew my residents permit. I was issued with a 10:000:00RMB fine and issued with a 10-day deportation visa due to my residents permit running a month over. Once fines were paid my company enquired with the foreign bureau if I had any restrictions on returning and the answer was no, and can fly back to England and start the process again. I'm looking to go back on either a long term tourist L type or a business M type. Has anyone been in or know of anyone that has been in a similar situation and could supply some advice? If so it would be greatly appreciated.

Considering that you have already paid the fines, and you didn't overstay intentionally, and the fact that the overstaying duration is not too long, I think you can go back on a tourist L visa or a business M visa.
