registering at your local police station

Question

hi there...i currently have the residents permit, and my question is, when i enter china do i still have to re- register at my local police station? i always had to do this when i had the F visa, but not sure if it applies to the resident permit also. 2nd question........i will leave my appartment next month, and i will stay in a hotel for approximately 2 months. When i re-enter china do i have to inform the police or do the hotel take care of that?......thanks

Hi, it is not necessary for you to register again if you enter with residence permit. And if you live in a hotel, the hotel will take care of the registration.
