lax-shanghai for 3 days

Question

Hello,I am arriving July 1 to Shanghai from LAX and depart to Bangkok on July 4th to continue my trip in Asia.My final return is on July 16: Bangkok - stop in Shanghai only for 2 hrs before going back to LAX.Can i use the 72hrs visa waiver or 144 hr?Technically i should already be fine with the 72hr ...Please someone can help with answer?

Clau, actually the 72-hour free transit policy has been replaced by the 144-hour free transit, so you are eligible for the 144-hour free transit scheme.
