About:Chinese Consulates in Brazil

Can Canadian citizen apply Chinese visa from Brazil?

My Chinese visa will be expired at May 24, 2016. I am Canadian citizen who travel with my husband as visiting professor in Brazil, Lorena. My mom is at critical condition in Beijing now, and she is Chinese citizen.
May i apply Chinese visa from Sao Paulo, sp?
I am currently visiting Belem, pa in north Brazil. May I apply in Belem para?

Weihong, Canadian passport holders can apply for it in Brazil. Because you are in Belem, PA now, you can apply for it from the embassy of PRC in Brazil. Here is the address: SES. Av. das Nações, Quadra 813, Lote 51, Asa Sul Brasília-DF

May I apply through mail? what's the process here? Should i have to present to Sao Paulo Chinese embassy myself or through agent?
which way is the fast way and how many days it will take?

Weihong, you cannot apply for it through mail.
If you apply for a tourist L type, the first step is to prepare the required documents including your passport and copy of its data page, the application form and a passport-style photo and an invitation letter from your mother or relative in PRC. And then submit the application to the embassy of PRC to apply for it.
You can go there in person or entrust someone else to do it for you.
Usually, it takes 4 working days to process the application. And if you choose the express service, 3 working days are needed.
