About:Visa Policy of China

Visa concerns

Hi. I am Johnson from Ghana and work in an International Kindergarten in Shanghai. My wife is using my sponsored work Z type and currently she has traveled back home. Her entry permit would expire in July and she is planning to come in August.
1. is it possible she sent her passport across to China for Visa ?
2. If I am applying in Ghana what document do I need ?

1. Johnson, she cannot send her passport across PRC for it. If she wants to extend her entry permit in PRC, she needs to be in PRC during the process.
2. You mean apply for the S1 type for your wife in Ghana? If yes, the required documents contain her passport and copy of its data page, the application form attached with a passport-style photo, an invitation letter from you, copies of your passport and residence permit in PRC, your marriage certificate, medical examination record, and recent 4-month bank statement. Afterwards, submit the application to the embassy of PRC to apply for it.
