2 year category M visa for UK national living in Germany

Hello, I am a UK national living and working in Germany. I regularly travel to China and get 6 monthly entry permit or once a 12 month type.

I read that 2 year entry permits are possible and to save space in the passport this would be very useful. Is it possible to apply for the 2 year one from Germany for UK national. Thanks.
