About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Two single tickets or connecting flights?

I want to use this free transit but I have a question. I need to go to Beijing for 48 hours in October, I do not know what country I will be flying from yet. So, to get the transit visa do I have to be getting on a connecting in flight in Beijing? Or can it be two separate flights. For example: Vietnam - Beijing. And then Beijing - UK?

Thanks

Sarah, don’t worry! It doesn’t have to be a connecting flight and two separate flights can also work. If you travel like Vietnam-Beijing, and then Beijing – UK, you are eligible for the 72 hour free transit in Beijing.
