About:China Consulate in Houston

For Z Visa, do I need a medical exam before I travel to China or can have an exam there in PRC?

In most cases, you do not need to take a medical exam before traveling to PRC and the medical report is not required to show when applying for the Z type. After you go to PRC, you shall need to take a medical exam at a designated health center in order to get the residence permit.
