About:China Transit Visa

We are two travelers and do we need a Transit Visa please?

We are the holder of New Zealand passport and the second traveler holding Ethiopian passport with New Zealand Residence permit on it to travel from Auckland New Zealand to Addis Ababa through Hong Kong International Air port please? Thanks!

Alemayehu, the New Zealand passport holder doesn’t need any transit entry permit because he/she can enjoy free entry to HK for a stay not exceeding 90 days.
However, Ethiopian passport holder needs to apply for a transit entry permit beforehand.
