About:Shangri-La Travel

Do I need to be concerned about altitude sickness in Shangri-la? Thanks

If you are healthy enough, it won't be a problem. Anyway, it is still advised to prepare the regular medicine in case and the mini oxygen tanks are easily accessible there. No worry! If you are old or not fit, I advise you not go there.

July and August are perfect time to visit Shangrila ,it's neither too hot nor too cold .but i think you still need to take regular medicine in case . (welcome to Shangrila .)

Have just returned from there and my husband age 70 and myself 68 had no problems. I suffer from diabetes and ostio arthritis but had no problems with altitude sickness. We did take the required medication but it helps living in a pollution free suburb of Sydney and no smokers in the family.
