About:Mount Wutai

is elevation sickness an issue in Mt. Wutai?

The mountain peaks are quite high; are the temples also higher than 8000 feet (2000 meters), or are they lower? Elevation sickness sometimes occurs higher than 7500/8000 feet. Is this a likely issue?

Yeah, it can be a concern with its high elevation. But the temples are mostly at the central of Taihuai Town, so the elevation is much lower than the mountain. If wishing to trip there, I suggest you prepare some relevant medicine in case.
