Will I develop altitude sickness in Shangrila

Should I be concerned about developing altitude sickness in Shangrila even with the slow rate of ascent? I understand that this tour is not so fast paced so we wont have to worry about not acclimatizing properly.

The average altitude of Shangri-la is more than 3000 meters (about 9843 feet), some people may have slight altitude sickness there. You are suggested to consult your doctor if you are concerned about this. Please avoid doing intense activities like running, jumping and be sure to keep warm in the highlands.
