About:Changsha Railway Station

Can I save more money if I use a taxi for 3 days than the MTR or bus line in Hongkong?

I'm going to visit HK for 3 days and 3 nights together with two companions. And I was researching on how to save the most money on transportation and I need your help. I was thinking about buying and octopus card until I saw the taxi rates in this post. We're going to stay in a hostel near Austin MTR station and will go to Disneyland and Ocean Park for the next two days. Thank you in advance for the answer.

Taxis are much more expensive than MTR and bus. Since you live near Austin Station, and your destinations like Disneyland and Ocean park can be accessed easily by MTR and bus, you are suggested to by an Octopus card, which will be a more convenient way.

Thank you for the advice. I just thought because we can use a blue or green taxi and since there are 3 of us we could just share to pay the taxi fare and save some money.

Well, taxis are quite expensive. Even if you share with others, you need to pay much for it. You are highly recommended to use public transportation. May you have a nice trip! :)
