female earth snake born 8/21/1989 - selling things to save money for career goals

I have many valuable things that I want to sell to save money to go to grad school so I can become a college professor. Is there a good or bad time to do this? I'm also thinking of taking the money I get from selling these things and buying some stock. Is there a good time to buy stock?
