Can i go out of Pudong Airport?

Hi! I have a Philippine Passport but I'm a resident of France with a resident card. I'm flying from Paris and connectîg from Pudong to Manila. My connecting time is more than 16 hrs and I would like to see the city of Pudong. Am I eligible for the 72 hrs free transit visa?
Thanks and more power.

Gregg, you are not eligible for the 72 hour free transit because of your passport. But if your transit time is less than 24 hours, you qualify for the 24 hour direct transit. In this way, no entry permit is required either. You can apply for a temporary stay permit at the airport and then you can leave the airport.
If your transit time is more than 24 hours, a transit G type or tourist L type is needed.

Thanks for the info. I'll just have to go to the kiosk or desk where I can then apply for the direct transit so I can leave the airport to visit the city before I take my flight to Manila.
