How long can I stay after cancellation of work permit?

Hi, it might be an obvious question but I'm still in doubt. How long am i allowed to stay in China (shanghai) when my work permit is terminated? And from what date is the cancellation valid from? Thank you

Christian, if your residence permit is not cancelled, you can probably stay in PRC until its expiry date.
But if the residence permit is cancelled, you can apply for a 30-day tourist L type and stay in PRC to handle the relevant procedures.
