About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Asia traveling

Dear Sir/ Madame,

I have a Dutch passport. I will be traveling to Hong Kong, and after visiting Macau. Am I able to make use of this 144 hours visa free to Shanghai, flying from Hong Kong OR Macau, and after continuing my travel to Taiwan? Does it matter if I will be traveling with 2 different airlines (2 different tickets)?

Jay, you can travel from Hong Kong or Macau to Shanghai and then travel onward to Taiwan. The 144-hour free transit is applicable to this route. It doesn't matter if you use two different tickets.
