About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Son of flight attendants!

Ciao Geoff! my son travel with a free ticket, he only comes with me if there is a seat available on the flight and if not, he has a jump-seat in the cabin or in cockpit. I will work on the flight as Flight attendant. Does it need the visa?

Nadia, may I know more specific information such as the flight travel route? If your son wants to use the 144 hour free transit, except the travel route requirement, he needs to hold a confirmed air ticket. So I’m afraid he cannot enjoy the free transit if he travels with a free ticket.

Ciao Geoff,the route is Zurich-Shaghai-Zurich and as crew we stay 50 hours.my son has a free ticket.

If so, he cannot enjoy the free transit in Shanghai because except the ticket issue, the travel route doesn’t meet the requirements for the 144 hour policy.
