About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

Arriving from Los Angeles into PVG around 630am. I have a 7 hour layover before heading to Tokyo.

Is there anything I should maybe see inside the airport or do you guys recommend me leaving the airport and go sightseeing? If you recommend sightseeing is there anything i must see before I have to go back?

You are advised to leave the airport for downtown area during the layover. You may take maglev train from PVG to Longyang Road, and change to metro line 2 to East Nanjing Road Station. Then, you can have a quick visit of Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, The Bund, Huangpu River. Remember to return to PVG at least two hours before departure. Have a great time!
