one Day trip to Macau from HK

I am a Danish citizen currently staying in Hong Kong for a weeks vacation. On the 6th of May i will go to Shanghai and thereby entering the mainland with my single entry visa to mainland PRC. I want to take a one Day trip to Macau from Hong Kong BEFORE i go to Shanghai. Will i use my single entry by doing so or will it not be affected since i entered from Hong Kong? - Basically: will my single entry one to the chinese mainland be affected by doing a one Day trip to Macau while i am staying in Hong Kong?. Fyi i will go back to Hong kong before i go to Shanghai so i will not go from Macau and directly to Shanghai.
