About:China Visa Fees

overstay for One day

My residence permit expires on April 30 but my flight back home is May 01. I haven't been able to change it. what can I do to be allowed to leave the country in that date?

Hi Geraldine, usually if the duration of the overstay is less than 3 days, they will give you a written warning for first time offence. I once overstay for 24 hours and were given a written warning by the immigration and told not to repeat again and I'm free to go. By the time when I return to china the next trip everything was ok. There were no stop or check by the immigration. For your information a friend of my have the same issue and was also given a written warning.

Anyway, I adivise you to go to the aiport on April 30 and check in before 00:00 of May 1 if possible.
