About:Transfer in T3 of Beijing Capital Airport

I will be traveling from FOC on CA and connecting in PEK to UA continuing to SFO.

Will I need to claim my bags in PEK and recheck them?

As long as you hold the through tickets, it is no need to reclaim the luggage. Just preent your luggage tag recipt at the customs and they will arrang the baggage transfer.
