I am US citizen returning to Honolulu, HI USA after vacation in Thailand.  Return flight is as followsBKK to Kunming (14 hr layover) to Shanghai (4 hr layover) to Honolulu, HI USA.Thanks!Roger

Roger, no, you don’t need it. As your total layover time in PRC is less than 24 hours, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit.
