Which moutain do you mean? The famous mountains like Mt. Qingcheng and Mt. Emei are located a little bit far from the city. One day is enough to see the panda and travel to next destination. But I'm afraid no time will be left for sightstting upon arrival.

Thank you for your help. We just want to see a more rural area or a nice view of the mountains. Would that be possible within eg 2 hours of driving from CD City? Br Jan

Yeah, there is a superb choice for you. You can visit Dujiangyan and Qingcheng Mountain in one day. They are very near, and there are freqquent bullet trains accessible. At Dujiangyan, there s a panda base, and you can see the panda in the morning there, and then head to Qingcheng Mountain. Don't wory, one day is enough, and you can take the bullet train back to CD at night.
