About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

usa to rok to beijing to rok

I am a USA citizen currently in South Korea on 90 day tourist visa. I would like to travel to Beijing for two days using the 72 hour exemption. I would fly from Seoul to Beijing and then back to Seoul. Also, if yes, what parts of Beijing I am eligible to enter? Is there a map?

Dear, if you travel like that, you cannot enjoy the 72 hour free transit because after transiting in Beijing, you fly back to Korea. But in principle, you should fly to a third country or region rather than Korea. So you should apply for a tourist L visa beforehand for your trip.
