About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can the 144 hour free transit cover my trip?

I'm having trouble trying to get a definitive answer if I am able to qualify for the 144 hour free transit.
The travel will be issued on two separate tickets.
25 MAY Hanoi to Shanghai
30 MAY Shanghai to Singapore

Is it okay to have two separate tickets... or must travel be on one ticket with an onward connecting flight?

Vicky, it doesn’t have to be on one ticket with an onward connecting flight! Two separate tickets are okay. If your layover time in Shanghai is no more than 144 hours, you are able to enjoy the free transit there.
