indian passport, 15 hours transit in Shanghai

I have conform tickets and I got 15 hours hold in Shanghai and I have Indian passport so should I able to get free transit and should I step out from the airport without visa?

Anant, if you will fly to a third country or region rather than the last one you departed after transiting in Shanghai, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit there. You can apply for a temporary stay permit (it’s free of charge) at the airport and then you are able to leave the airport without entry permit.
