About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Shanghai and Hong Kong

Dear, I'm planning to do this trip:
VCE-PVG on may,4
PVG-HKG on may,9
HKG-VCE on may,14

Can I get the Visa Free Trasit. Some people told me yes, another agency no. I'm totally confused. :(

Steven, if you can make sure that you will stop in Shanghai for less than 144 hours, you qualify for the 144 hour free transit.
As for HK, Italian passport holders can enjoy free entry to HK for a stay of 90 days.

Dear Stuart thank you For your answer. Yes i agree with you. But actually the chinese embassy suggested me to contact My airline company. Then Emirates doesn't Know about this kind of free transit. So they suggested me to contact again the embassy. I have no words. I really dont Know...

If so, maybe you can print out the relevant 144 hour policy and then show the printouts to the airport. In this case, you may be allowed to board the plane.
