Transit visa on airline staff travel no confirmed seat

Hi There
We are planning on travelling home to the UK from Phuket via Chengdu. Our flight to the UK is on BA and will be staff travel so although we have a ticket we don't have confirmed seats until we check in at the BA desk in Chengdu.

Will this prevent us getting a free transit?

Dear, I’m afraid you cannot get the free transit. Only if you hold tickets with confirmed seating when you board the plane in Phuket will you be allowed to enjoy the free transit. You’d better apply for a transit G type or tourist L type beforehand.
