Request if I require transit visa

Hello there, I am Ethiopian student studying in Australia. Currently, I am planning to go from Australia to Ethiopia for Holidays. Both my departure and return flights has a transit through Hong Kong. So this is to kindly ask if I need a transit permit for my stay in Hong Kong airport for less than 10 hours.
