About:Chinese Consulate in Auckland

Do I need a Transit visa? My family and I are traveling to Dhaka from Auckland.

All in my family has NZ passport but I have Bangladeshi passport with PR of NZ. I have transit in Shanghai for 15 hours and 11 hours in Kunming to Dhaka we connect from international terminal therefore don't need to get out of airport, returning Dhaka-Bejing-Shanghai-Auckland similar Transit hours. Do i need trasit permit?

Ahmed, all of you need to apply for the transit G type in advance because your total layover time in PRC is more than 24 hours, so you cannot enjoy the 24 hour direct transit. Even though your family Has NZ passport, they stop in two Chinese cities during the transits, so they cannot enjoy the 72 hour free transit, either.

It costs NZD 140 for New Zealand passport holder and costs NZD 60 for Bangladeshi passport holder. After you submit the application, it usually takes 4 working days for the processing.
