About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

I am going to Beijing in May 2016 and January 2017 - Can I apply for double entry visa for this?

There is no one-year double-entry one, and only the double-entry one for 6 months is available. Considering your situation, you can apply for a multiple-entry visa for 12 months.
