24 hr stopover from nz

Hi there,Me and my friend are stopping over in China for 24 hours from NZ. Just wanting to know would we still need a visa if wanting to go out from the airport to have a look at some attractions?Thank you for your time.

Kavita, you don't need it. You are eligible for the 24-hour direct transfer policy. In this case, you just need to get your passport stamped with a temporary stay permit to leave the airport.

Thank you so much for that :) Also, just wanting to confirm is there any forms that I need to fill in before leaving from New Zealand, or is that stamp once arriving at the airport more than enough?Thanks,Kavita

Kavita, as far as I know, you don’t need to fill out any forms before leaving from New Zealand. When you arrive at the airport, you can just apply for a temporary stay permit and then you will get a stamp. I think it’s enough.
