From guangzhou to gongbei port

Hi I'm staying at the holiday Inn shifu and need to travel to Macau on the 20th . Please guide me how to go about it . As I've read on other forums it seems the best route would be to take metro or taxi to hotel landmark Canton ,haizhu square and then the cts bus to gongbei port plaza.

Please suggest if a better route is possible.
I will have luggage and I speak English
