tour the great wall on a 9 hour stopover

We are stopping over at Beijing International Airport for 9 hours.  Hoping to see a bit of the wall (Badaling section) during this time.  Do you suggest taking those 5 hour tours or just going there on our own?

You can go to the Wall on your own. Hiring a taxi to go there and get back should save a lot of your time on the way. Generally, it would take nearly 1.5h and cost CNY250 -CNY 350 or so for a single trip. In addition, you can try to ask help for TravelChinaGuide and see whether if they provide such tour for you.
