Changes to visas for British Citizens

I have heard that from the early 2016, the standard Chinese visa for British Citizens is for 2 years, multiple entry. Can I get one of these from the Chinese Embassy in Bangkok? Have any British citizens had any experience with this?

Thanks :)

Willow, though I'm not a UK citizen, I believe it's possible to get the 2-year multiple-entry permit form the CVASC in Bangkok. If you have a residence permit there, you have a greater chance.
