About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Houston to Tokyo to Hong Kong then to Beijing and back to Hong Kong

I will be flying from Houston to Hong Kong with a layover in Tokyo. I will then be spending four days in Hong Kong before flying to Beijing. I will be in Beijing less than 72 hours before flying back to Hong Kong. Will I need a visa?

Jim, you need to prepare one. As you fly from HK to Beijing and then back to HK, this route is not classed as a transit.
