fec.forigner expert certificate

Question

well,l came to china with a Z type and was granted a forginer expert certificate as well so when my contract ends with my intial firm l changed job but still in the same province and the expire date on the FEC was 2016, so my new job did mot change my FEC now l need to renew my visa and l was told that my FEC was not changed when l joined this new firm.My qyestion is ,is it still possible to renew my FEC and go ahead with my resisdence extention?

Dear, I don’t think it’s possible for you to renew your FEC and go ahead with your residence extension. I’m afraid you need to re-apply for a new FEC because when you change your job, you should change your FEC, too. After you get the new FEC, you can re-apply for a new residence permit.
