But from previous experiences, I have been much too insecure, jealous, and sometimes overly attached lately. He understands why but he also doesn't know what to say or give me the comfort I need... I sound selfish. I have snapped at him too many times and I am worried that my insecurities will drive him away. How do you think it will be for us this year and in the future?

I can see from your description that both of you are having a communication issue. This may not be good for the development of this relationship. Both of you need to work on the communication skills a little bit. Know what the other person needs and give your comfort. You should trust him. Snapping cannot solve anything. If there is something he did makes you feel uncomfortable, just tell him mildly and he will listen to you.
