To most regions in CN, late April to early May is one of the best times to visit CN. You can do it. But there is a 3-day holiday from Apr. 30th to May 1st. The sites may be very crowded during that time. On other days, you can still have a joyful visit. Make sure you set out early in that period to avoid the crowd.
