About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

British subjects resident in Spain

My husband and I are resident in Spain. We will be staying in Shanghai after a cruise for 4 nights and then returning home to Spain. What type of Visa will we require and where is the best place to apply ?

Pat, you can first make it out whether you qualify for the 144-hour free transit policy in Shanghai. You know, if you travel from anoter country to Shanghai and leave Shanghai for Spain, it's possible that you can enjoy this policy.

In case that you do not qualify for the free transit, you can apply for an L type by providing your transportation tickets and hotel reservations. You can apply for it at the CVASC office in Madrid.
