About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

UK - Hong Kong - Shanghai

Hi we are flying from the UK to Hong Kong. Then from Hong Kong to Shanghai for 3 days, before returning back to the UK from Shanghai. Do we need to apply for a visa at all?

No, you don’t need to apply for it at all because you can enjoy free entry to HK for a stay of no more than 180 days.
As your travel to Shanghai, you can enjoy the free transit there. Have a good trip!
