About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

X2 Visa Temporary Residence Permit

Hi: I am planning to go to study in China for 6 months with an X2 type. I heard this type only provide single entry. Is it true? I am planning to visit my friends in Taiwan while studying in PRC.

I wonder if it is possible to apply Temporary Residence Permit with an X2 type, so I can enjoy multiple entry permit.

Manuel, it’s true. X2 type can only be used to enter once. You cannot apply for the temporary stay permit with X2 type.
So once you exit PRC, you need to apply for a new X2 type to re-enter.
